John Constable Flatford Bridge Cottage exhibition at the National Trust centre. Just come back from a walking weekend in Suffolk roughly followed the Flatford route published in Guardian. It really feels like walking inside Constable’s painting with the rivers, calves, cottages, bridges you name it. http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2012/may/13/walkingholiflatford-and-constable-country-suffolk-and-essex-walk

Constable’s little sketchbook, smaller than my hand with amazing intrigued details sufficient for developed into a full size painting. I also greatly admire a sketch of three trees after one of his oil painting with beautiful background.
